"I would have to agree with the positive reviews that this Italian beef is the real deal. Someone said this was salty but I’m pretty sure she just made up stuff. The bread was not stale, it was fresh. They gave me a lot of sweet peppers and meat. I had it dipped. The meat was juicy and tender. I could have eaten two of these but I wasn’t sure how big it was. I also got a chili cheese dog. It was good but not as memorable as the beef. I would have to come back and try the cheesy Italian beef and Italian sausage. They have one single person restroom and a good amount of seats. I came at night so most of the orders were takeout. The staff was friendly."

"Finally made my way to the other Teddy’s in Darien. Went with an Italian Beef Dipped and hot giardiniera on the side. Crinkle fries and a cup of cheese and fountain soda $17.76. The beef was plentiful and had great chew with a good flavor. I tend to enjoy great fresh cut fries but a good crinkle fries comes in second. Cup of cheese seems pretty generic. Staff is very friendly and gets the order up quickly. A spacious counter on one side and a half dozen tables of 2 on the other side, if dining in. They feature weekday daily specials that includes fries. All in all I give them a 4.6."
